Ingredients

  • 2 cans of clams with their juice(284 ml each)
  • 4 slices of chopped bacon
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 2 potatoes, diced small
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 500 ml milk
  • 250 ml 15% cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 Salt, pepper, and thyme

Instructions

    Cook bacon in a saucepan until crispy. Set aside.

    In the bacon fat, sauté the onion and celery for 3 minutes.

    Add butter and flour, mix for 1 minute.

    Stir in the clam juice and potatoes. Cook for 15 minutes.

    Add the milk, cream, and clams. Heat without boiling.

    Garnish with the reserved bacon. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
