Ingredients

  • 500 ml all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 60 ml lard or softened butter
  • 250 ml milk

Instructions

    Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.

    Cut in the lard with two knives or in a food processor.

    Add milk and mix to form a soft dough.

    Roll out to 1 cm thickness and cut into rounds.

    Cook on a greased griddle or in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat, 5 minutes per side.

    Serve warm with butter and molasses or maple syrup.
