Ingredients

  • 500 g ground pork
  • 1 egg
  • 60 ml breadcrumbs
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 3 tbsp toasted flour
  • 750 ml water or broth
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 Salt and pepper

Instructions

    Mix the pork, egg, breadcrumbs, half of the onion, salt, and pepper.

    Form golf-ball sized meatballs.

    In a pot, sauté the remaining onion in a little butter.

    Add the water, cinnamon, and cloves. Bring to a boil.

    Gently add the meatballs and simmer for 45 minutes.

    Thicken with toasted flour dissolved in cold water. Cook for 10 minutes.
