- 6 Cortland apples, peeled and sliced
- 175 ml sugar
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).

Line a pie plate with the first crust.

Combine the apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.

Pour into the crust and dot with butter.

Cover with the second crust, seal and crimp the edges. Slit the top.

Bake for 15 minutes at 220°C, then reduce to 175°C (350°F) and bake for 35-40 minutes.
