Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken cut in half
  • 125 ml ketchup
  • 60 ml white vinegar
  • 60 ml brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1 grated onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Salt, pepper, and paprika

    Combine all sauce ingredients in a saucepan.

    Cook for 10 minutes over low heat to blend the flavors well.

    Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.

    Generously brush the chicken with sauce.

    Cook on the BBQ over indirect heat (or in the oven at 190°C / 375°F) for about 1 hour.
