Ingredients

  • 500 g thick-sliced salt pork(1 cm)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 Black pepper to taste

Instructions

    Soak the salt pork slices in cold water for 30 minutes to slightly desalt them.

    Drain and pat dry.

    Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat.

    Grill the slices for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden.

    Brush with maple syrup at the end of cooking.

    Season with pepper and serve hot with home fries.
