  • 500 g thick-sliced salt pork
  • 8 peeled potatoes, quartered
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 Water to cover
  • 1 Pepper(no salt, the salt pork is salty)

Instructions

    Soak the salt pork in cold water for 1 hour to desalt.

    Cut into pieces and place in a pot with the onion.

    Cover with water and bring to a boil. Simmer for 30 minutes.

    Add the potatoes and cook for another 25-30 minutes.

    The potatoes should be tender and the broth slightly reduced.

    Season with pepper and serve in a large bowl with the broth.
