Ingredients

  • 1 Dough: 375 mL flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cold butter
  • 175 ml milk
  • 1 Syrup: 500 mL maple syrup, 250 mL water

    Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt.

    Cut in the cold butter.

    Add the milk to form a soft dough.

    Syrup: Bring the maple syrup and water to a boil in a large saucepan.

    Drop spoonfuls of dough into the boiling syrup.

    Cover and cook over low heat for 15-18 minutes without lifting the lid. Serve in the syrup.
