- 500 mL fresh or frozen raspberries
- 250 mL flour
- 175 mL sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 125 mL milk
- 60 mL melted butter
- 1 Syrup: 250 mL boiling water, 175 mL sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).

Mix flour, sugar, and baking powder.

Add milk and melted butter.

Pour into a greased 8x8 inch pan. Spread raspberries over the top.

For the syrup, mix boiling water and sugar.

Pour over the batter (do not mix).

Bake for 40-45 minutes. The batter will rise, and the syrup will settle underneath.
